The entire shoot relied on a strict "less is more" approach to the production design. I utilized a minimal lighting setup—primarily a single, heavily diffused key light paired with deep negative fill—to drop the studio space into heavy shadow. This high-contrast setup forced the camera to capture the exact grain of the suede and the soft volume of the shearling without blowing out the highlights.
Directing the talent required a deliberate shift away from standard commercial posing. I coached the models to hold relaxed, static, yet grounded postures that let the wardrobe settle naturally into the frame. I worked in lockstep with the styling team to secure clean, monochromatic silhouettes that wouldn't compete with the footwear, while coordinating with the hair and makeup (HMU) crew to keep the talent's skin looking raw, dewy, and natural under the single light source. Managing the exact intersection of minimal exposure, wardrobe drape, and subtle model expressions allowed us to build a series of frames that felt incredibly deliberate and high-fidelity.

By embracing deep shadows and technical simplicity, we delivered a campaign that redefines how a heritage comfort brand can live in an elite editorial space. The minimal lighting forced a level of texture and depth that a traditional, heavily lit commercial rig simply cannot replicate.
The final assets present a dark, sophisticated, and polished look that proves the product can command a high-fashion narrative when stripped down to its core elements.
Next projects.
