JD Sports is a powerhouse in the global sports fashion industry. With a footprint that spans from the UK to the flagship corridors of New York and Los Angeles, the brand has successfully positioned itself as the definitive source for the "Forever Forward" youth movement. My role on this project was and still is to serve as the Director of Photograph, bridging the gap between high-end editorial aesthetics and the commercial demands of a global retail leader. Tasked with defining the visual language for key campaigns that translate the energy of the street into a premium digital and in-store experience. My primary responsibility for the visual composition of most creative direction shots. This role required a dual-threat approach, managing high-stakes productions both on location and within a controlled studio environment. On-Location Dynamics: I direct the videography for campaigns that moved through urban landscapes, ensuring that the natural grit of the environment complemented the clean lines of the product. My focus was on capturing "retail theater" in motion, where the movement of the talent and the camera created a sense of urgency and style. In the studio, I composed shots that highlighted the technical details and silhouettes of exclusive drops from brands like Nike and Adidas. This involved intricate lighting setups designed to emphasize texture and color accuracy, which is essential for a brand that prides itself on curation and a specific "point of view." I worked and still work closely with the production team to oversee the artistic direction on set. This meant managing the visual flow of the shoot to ensure every frame aligned with JD’s overarching mission of elevating youth culture through a lens of authenticity and premium fashion.

Working within the fashion retail sector for a brand of this scale means operating at a relentless pace. My objective was to create content that feels "Forever Forward," a concept that prioritizes the next generation of talent and creators.

I focused on a visual style that balances professional polish with a "self-made" perspective. By utilizing a mix of high-fidelity digital rigs and creative framing, we produced a suite of assets that feel at home on a massive Times Square billboard while still resonating on a local community level. The creative direction centered on "This Space Is Yours," a narrative that empowers the consumer to see themselves within the brand's world. My work as DP ensured that this message was delivered through consistent, high-impact imagery that drives both global brand prestige and immediate retail results.
