The primary technical challenge of this project was the sheer speed of professional volleyball. It is one of the most difficult sports to document because the action is vertical and instantaneous. Tracking the ball and the athletes through the air while maintaining perfect focus and exposure required zero room for error. On the operational side, managing multiple news crews in a live arena environment presented significant logistical hurdles.
I had to ensure the press had the vantage points they needed without interfering with the flow of the match or the safety of the players. Navigating the competing deadlines of various news outlets while the game was still in progress required a disciplined and organized approach to asset management.

At the end of the day, my work for Indy Ignite helped build the visual foundation for the franchise. By providing a professional suite of action imagery and a structured media operations plan, I helped the team secure the visibility they deserved during their inaugural season.
This project was a successful exercise in high-pressure sports management and a testament to the importance of professional media relations in the modern sports era. We didn't just document games. We helped tell the story of a new chapter in Indianapolis sports history.
Next projects.
