The primary challenge of this project was the sheer physical environment of a sold-out Hi-Fi. The room reached capacity long before she took the stage and the humidity was thick with the energy of an audience that had been raving through dozens of prior acts. Navigating a standing-room-only venue to get clean shots while lines of people were being turned away at the door required extreme technical agility.
I had to maintain the integrity of the visual narrative while pinned against the stage in a space that felt like it was bursting at the seams. Capturing her desire to be "sweaty and present" meant embracing the grit of the room rather than trying to polish it away.

Audrey Nuna is an artist who has found her footing by leaning into her vulnerabilities instead of running from them. She spoke of being in a place of deep clarity after years of chaotic change and her performance at Chreece was the ultimate proof of that evolution. By documenting this moment in her career I was able to provide a permanent record of a star who is currently making the best work of her life.
She left the audience with a visceral understanding of her power and she left me with a reinforced belief that the most authentic stories are found in the places where art and community collide.
Next projects.
