The biggest hurdle was the brutal Chicago cold. Shooting in "Siberia" conditions means your gear is freezing, your batteries are dying twice as fast, and the talent is struggling to look "effortless" while it’s 10 degrees out in summer gear. On top of the weather, managing locations in a city that never stops was a puzzle.
I had to be incredibly mobile, pivoting between crowded downtown sidewalks and industrial spots in Wicker Park without losing our light or our momentum. Every shot was a race against the temperature and the clock. Other captures for Adidas prove to be less challanging thankfully.

Despite the frostbite, the grit of the city made the footage. The cold actually added a layer of realism—you can see the breath and the determination in every frame.
I walked away with a set of motion assets that didn't just sell symmer gear but told a story about what it actually looks like to train in a city that doesn't care if you're comfortable. It’s some of our most authentic work to date.
Next projects.
