Dasha has released "Not At This Party," the lead single from her upcoming second album, continuing her exploration of relationship dynamics following the success of her hit "Austin." The new track, co-written with Ashley Gorley and Ben Johnson, captures the feeling of being physically present but mentally absent, a universal experience, as she described. The music video, directed by Aerin Moreno, visually complements the song's themes.
The release follows a significant year for Dasha, marked by appearances at major country music events like Stagecoach, Austin City Limits, CMT Awards, and CMA Fest. She also completed a sold-out global headlining tour, Dashville USA, and performed on the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve, further solidifying her presence in mainstream entertainment. Her previous work, particularly her breakout hit, garnered significant streaming numbers and earned her a People’s Choice Country Award for Female Song.
Dasha has expressed her gratitude for the support she's received, highlighting the connection she feels with her audience, especially young girls. She acknowledges the inherent imperfections of a career in the music industry, emphasizing that the journey is about navigating both highs and lows. Her upcoming tour schedule includes appearances with Kane Brown, Thomas Rhett, and Dylan Scott, as well as a return to Stagecoach, indicating a busy year ahead.
