Tremendous Tre: A Night of Art, Amore, and Food in Carmel, IN

Let's be honest, Indianapolis knows how to dish up some seriously good Italian. Sangiovese, a local favorite for years, is a testament to that. But sometimes you crave something a little different, a touch more elevated (insert your best Italian chef impression here).

Tre, Sangiovese's sophisticated younger sibling, which just debuted in Carmel. While they share the same owner,Chris Evans, Tre takes things up a notch with a refined Italian menu that's sure to WOW your taste buds. Think house-made pastas with perfectly al dente textures, melt-in-your-mouth seasonal ingredients, and a menu selection so diverse you'll need a game plan (because, let's be real, you'll want to try everything). Speaking of wanting everything, guess who got a sneak peek earlier this month? Yup, yours truly! Tre invited a select group of influencers to sample their entire menu, and let me tell you, it was a culinary adventure. The space itself is a masterpiece – modern yet warm, with stunning artwork that sets the scene for a truly special evening.

Now, onto the good stuff: the food! I dove headfirst into that simple, yet amazing Shrimp Cocktail dish – a symphony of textures and flavors (watch out St-Elmos). My main course was the pappardelle with ragu – rich, hearty, and oh-so-satisfying. But trust me, there wasn't a single dish on the table that didn't impress. Now, I am not the biggest truffle fan, but the Fettuccine al Tartufo was my favorite by far. It is not winning any points by the fresh truffle shaved table-side, but its simplicity was something I felt I miss a lot of times when I order anything with truffle. Typically I find truffle dishes are so cliché, but Tre has a winner here.

But Tre isn't just about the food (although, let's be real, the food is incredible). It's the experience. The attentive service, the vibrant atmosphere, and the feeling that you're in for a treat. A big shoutout to Chris Evans, the owner, who personally stopped by our table to chat. His passion for Italian cuisine and commitment to creating a memorable dining experience are truly inspiring. So, if you're looking for a taste of Italy with a modern twist in a beautiful setting, head on over to Tre. Just be prepared to fall in love – with the food, the ambiance, and maybe even with yourself for having such good taste (and impeccable timing – Tre is brand new!). From one foodie to another, trust me, you won't regret it!
