MOKB Presents and HI-FI have announced plans to build a new 1,200-capacity indoor venue in Fountain Square. The new venue will be the permanent home of HI-FI Annex, which has been operating as a popular outdoor venue since 2018.

Set to open in early 2026, the new indoor space will feature a state-of-the-art concert hall and an underground speakeasy-style room for intimate gatherings. The venue will be located on the former site of the historic Granada Theatre, a fitting nod to Fountain Square’s rich entertainment history. The new HI-FI Annex is expected to further solidify Fountain Square’s position as Indianapolis’ premier arts and entertainment district. The neighborhood, once a bustling entertainment hub, experienced a decline after the construction of I-65. However, in recent years, it has undergone a revitalization, thanks in part to the efforts of MOKB Presents and other local businesses.

“This neighborhood was built on entertainment,” said Josh Baker, partner and CEO of HI-FI & MOKB Presents. “We’re excited to bring back some of that magic with this new venue.” MOKB Presents has been a major contributor to the growth of Fountain Square. The company has organized countless concerts and events, attracting thousands of visitors to the neighborhood. In addition to its economic impact, MOKB is committed to giving back to the community through various charitable initiatives.

The new HI-FI Annex is expected to be a major draw for music lovers from across the region. With its world-class facilities and diverse programming, the venue is poised to become one of the Midwest’s premier music destinations.
