America's Olympic figure skating champions are taking over Chicago. See Ilia Malinin, Alysa Liu, and more live at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont on May 8th.
Fresh off a historic tear at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy, the undisputed heavyweights of American figure skating are bringing their victory lap to Chicago. On Friday, May 8th, the Stars on Ice tour takes over the Allstate Arena in Rosemont. This isn’t your standard, sanitized holiday ice show; this is a high-octane exhibition of athletes operating at the absolute bleeding edge of human physics, completely unburdened by the anxiety of a judge's scorecard.

The "Team USA" squad is on a 28-city victory lap across the country, rebranded as the Stifel Stars on Ice tour. Stifel, a firm that knows its way around a high-yield investment, has stepped in as the title sponsor, recognizing that American figure skating is currently the most valuable asset in winter sports.
Once special athlete, athlete Alysa Liu, the headliner everyone is chasing. Her story is a middle finger to the "burnout" narrative—she retired, got bored, came back, and then went to Italy to grab the first U.S. women’s Olympic Gold since 2002. Then there’s Ilia Malinin, the "Quad God." Seeing him land a quadruple Axel live is less like watching a sport and more like witnessing a glitch in the system. Television flattens the sheer velocity of what he does; in person, it's visceral.
This year, the tour has partnered with ADRA (Adventist Development and Relief Agency International) as its official charity, giving the glitter a bit of moral weight. But for the fans in the seats on May 8, the draw is the unfiltered talent. Without the pressure of an Olympic judging panel, these athletes are finally allowed to let loose and do hat they love.
Tickets start at $30. If you’re in Chicago and you want to see what a "gold standard" actually looks like, get to Rosemont. You won't see this many champions in one room again for a long time.
