Watch Jenevieve and Lous and The Yakuza in the new Brussels shot visual for Fleur De Lis from the album CRYSALIS CODA.

Modern R&B often runs on a predictable treadmill. An artist hits a formula, the market consumes it, and executive suites demand fifty copies of the same record until the well runs completely dry. Jenevieve has spent her career ignoring that machinery. Raised in South Florida with roots tracing through Cuba and Black America, the Los Angeles based artist treats rhythm like a personal archive. She takes the velvet textures of late nineties R&B and collides them with an austere global aesthetic that feels impossible to pin down.

Her latest visual statement for Fleur De Lis brings that collision into direct focus. Teaming up with Congolese and Belgian artist Lous and The Yakuza, Jenevieve took her production team directly to Brussels. The choice of city matters. Instead of defaulting to the glossy backdrops of California or the familiar neon of Atlanta, the two singers move through European architecture with a calculated, cold poise. The video sits as the latest piece of her expanded album CRYSALIS CODA, a six track addition that pushes her sophomore record into increasingly unpredictable territory.

Working alongside long term executive producer Elijah Gabor, Jenevieve built her foundation on early projects like Division and Rendezvous. But this current era hits with a different weight. Following a global tour that packed venues across Europe before cutting through Asia and Australasia, her commercial traction has finally caught up with her creative ambition. A number one record on R&B radio for Head Over Heels proved that listeners are hungry for music that does not cater to the lowest common denominator. With Lous and The Yakuza joining a guest list that already includes Freddie Gibbs and TWICE member JIHYO, Jenevieve is not just releasing singles. She is building an empire on her own terms, one city at a time.
